How one of Florida's largest independent pool operations moved off Skimmer without stopping a single route.
Resort Pool Services manages close to a thousand service locations across residential accounts, HOAs, and property management companies. Before Avolv it ran on four systems that each held part of the truth and none that agreed with the others.
988 accounts moved off Skimmer. Every service location, every history record, every recurring schedule.
The part that usually goes wrong is the part nobody mentions in a sales pitch. Addresses that geocode to the wrong side of town. Route zones that no longer match where the trucks drive. Resort had both, so this was not a data dump. Zones were reconciled against real Geotab vehicle data.
Resort's real exposure was not scheduling. It was that nobody could prove the invoices matched the work. I reconciled $370,779 of invoicing against QuickBooks Online line by line, compared A/R aging, and aligned invoice numbering so one invoice has one identity in both places. Final variance: $580. Simon can now open two systems and see the same number.
None of this was on a roadmap. Simon asked, and it got built.
Simon buys a specific way, refined over years of running a large route. Rather than ask him to change, purchasing was built around his process.
Profit per pool is fiction if drive time is free. His P&L carries real loaded labor cost, so a money-losing account stops hiding inside an average.
A daily dashboard for the owner: what is happening, what is at risk, and what the weather will do to the route.
Invoicing for the full book, generated on schedule instead of by hand, matched to the service records that justify it.
Techs ask a question from the mobile app. The supervisor bench gets texted. First to reply by SMS claims it. Unanswered questions escalate. Simon asked, we shipped.
GPS-based routing and a territory check that shows which stops are sitting on the wrong truck. Built from where the trucks actually drive, not from a straight line on a map.
As of September 2026, Resort has fully retired Skimmer. Avolv now owns scheduling for every pool in the book. Every account gets serviced every week. Only the service days vary, so the schedule runs clean without cadence exceptions to babysit.
Simon's next request, "Ask," is already in build. It is a single question surface for his techs, with a bilingual knowledge base scoped to their accounts and pools. Same pattern as the rest of this work. He asks, it gets built.
Fifteen minutes and I will show you what your business looks like running on one system. You get me, not a sales team.
